Why I'm Running
Serving the community
that raised me.
For more than two decades, I've stood in front of classrooms in Orange County Public Schools — teaching students, mentoring families, and watching this community grow. I'm running for State Representative because the families who built Central Florida deserve a representative who will fight for them.
Affordability is slipping out of reach. Insurance and tolls keep climbing. Our schools need real support. And our communities deserve safety and respect. I'll bring 20+ years of problem-solving — and the values of a lifelong Seminole and Orange County resident — to the Florida House.

Mr. Prater has spent over 20 years in Orange County Public Schools as a teacher, Dean of Students, and educational leader — building real solutions for real families.
A 38-year resident of Seminole and Orange County, Rob is a husband, father, and grandfather rooted in the community he hopes to represent. His work in healthcare reform and community service reflects a lifetime committed to making things better for the people around him.
